At Melton Central Kindergarten we believe that all children are unique and that early experiences lay the foundations for future learning. We strive to give children every opportunity to reach their potential.

Our learning program is based on the national Early Years Learning Framework ‘Belonging, Being and Becoming.’ We believe that belonging to a family, community, culture and place is the basis for living a fulfilling life. Being is about facilitating time for children to just ‘be’ – time to play, try new things and have fun. Becoming is about the learning and development that young children experience. These concepts form the foundation of our programs.

It is our experience that children are competent thinkers, problem-solvers, investigators, negotiators, inventors and lifelong learners. Our early childhood educators have developed our play-based learning programs with this in mind. We offer a variety of activities that encourage children to express themselves through language, art and imaginative play. Our programs are flexible to meet the needs of each child.
